SELECT working practices

Some SELECT staff are now operating from The Walled Garden, but the majority are still working from home in line with Scottish Government guidance. As we slowly emerge from the restrictions some delegates are also now attending necessary training course assessments at our Training Centre.

With COVID-19 restrictions recently revised, in-person technical assessments have restarted as SELECT continues to offer an uninterrupted service to Members.

Assessments had been conducted online during lockdown, with any applicants that passed all our other membership criteria made Conditional Members until in-person visits could be conducted.

However, Technical Advisers are now able to visit Members and potential Members to inspect their work, while following strict safety measures to protect against the threat of coronavirus.

All in-person events like drop-in sessions, Branch Updates, AGMs, and the SELECT Awards will be postponed until 2022. This year’s Toolbox Talks have also been cancelled, although technical presentations are available here at SELECT TV.
