Location: BRIDGEWATER, SOMERSET

Salary: Advanced Craft grade (Approved Electrician equivalent) = £29.84 per hour (circa £59,500 per annum basic)

Hours: 38 Hours Basic 4-day week + overtime every second weekend. As the project workforce continues to build-up, you will be asked to adopt different shift patterns. This is normal for a project of this size. All shift working will attract the additional levels of shift payment.

Overview of the role

NG Bailey is a HPC MEH Alliance Partner building the UK’s first New Nuclear Power Station in more than 30 years. This employment offers SJIB Electricians, Approved Electricians and Technicians the opportunity to be part of this fantastic project. This is a long terms employment opportunity that will help individuals gain invaluable experience of what is required to install the electrical and instrumentation systems associated with the UK’s new nuclear build programme.

Roles and responsibilities:

•    Installation of containment and support systems
•    Glanding and termination of instrumentation and power cables
•    Testing and commissioning activities
•    Adopt the culture of right first time in everything you do
•    Be responsible for achieving project milestone targets
•    Work safely and with respect for others welfare at all times

Qualifications and experience:

•    Recognised Industry Apprenticeship
•    Qualified to NVQ 3 minimum
•    Possess a recognised Health and Safety assessment certificate
•    Have at least 2 years’ experience of working in an engineering construction environment
•    Hold a current SJIB/JIB ECS Grade Card

Any other relevant information:

Applicants seeking a supervisory role must have a current SMSTS or SSSTS Certificate or equivalent accreditation.
