Organisations rush to join new SELECT scheme as Associate Membership applications double in a month

SELECT’s new Associate Membership scheme continues to go from strength since its launch in the New Year, with 20 leading industry organisations now rushing to sign up.

The new scheme was rolled out on 1 January with eight founder members – Aico, Flexel, Linian, Luceco Group, Megger, simPRO, Tala Training and Thorn Lighting.

They have now been joined by applications from 12 other market-leading organisations, including:

  • Aurora – global manufacturer of energy-saving lighting solutions
  • Deta Electrical – manufacturer and distributor of wiring, lighting and electrical accessories
  • Electrium – home to well-known electrical brands including Crabtree, Wylex, Volex Accessories and Appleby
  • ForrestBrown – award-winning research and development tax credit specialists
  • H2Tec – designer and manufacturer of integrated and efficient hydrogen systems
  • Scolmore – leading manufacturer of products and solutions for the electrical industry
  • Signify – world leader in connected LED lighting systems, software and services
  • TCW – software-as-a-service provider for asset management and compliance arenas
  • Test Instrument Solutions (TIS) – offers a quality and comprehensive range of electrical testing equipment.

The Building Safety Group (BSG), MacRoberts and EC Insurance Services Limited (ECIS) have also applied to come on board, building on their existing long-standing relationships with SELECT.

Iain Mason, Director of Membership & Communications at SELECT, said: “The response to our new category of membership has been excellent, with our founder members signing up well before launch and being quickly joined by other big industry names.

“To go from nought to potentially 20 Associate Members in just a few weeks shows both the value of this new scheme and the standing in which SELECT is held in the electrical industry.

“We are delighted that so many well-respected organisations have joined us and we look forward to welcoming many more in the months to come.”

The new scheme gives manufacturers and service providers the chance to become part of SELECT and build beneficial relationships with Member businesses.

Among the benefits are a logo and biography on the SELECT website, networking and promotional opportunities and discounts on advertising, sponsorship and events.

Several Associate Members have already signed up to appear at the association’s popular Toolbox Talk roadshows, which will tour Scotland in May and June after a three-year absence.

Iain said: “This scheme gives some of the industry’s biggest names the opportunity to ally themselves with an established and successful trade body.

“At the same time it will allows us trade to build stronger relationships with organisations that can offer relevant and useful services to our members.”
