Task based Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS)

(Half day - Remote Learning)

BSG’s half-day (Remote Learning/Online) Task based Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) training program has been developed to help construction companies create RAMS documents which are ‘tailor made’ for their business.  The course is taught by showing candidates how to build ‘task based’ risk assessments, which will significantly reduce the amount of time taken to complete RAMS documentation without compromising health and safety.

Delegates will finish the course equipped with their own custom built RAMS templates prepared as PDFs, as well as in Microsoft Word format for future editing and distribution.

What will you learn?

By enrolling on this course your employees will be shown how to;

  • Create a single task/job-based Risk Assessment template for any job or project undertaken, removing the need to create multiple documents
  • Help to ensure that the templates you create meet the requirements of Management Regulations 1999 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, in respect of a safe system and safe place of work
  • Categorise risk using BSG’s automated scoring matrix
  • Identify and select potential hazards of the job, which are pulled through into your Risk Assessment along with all the pre-configured Control Measures recommended by BSG
  • Monitor and review RAMS
  • Recognise the necessity to prepare method statements to satisfy the requirement for a ‘Safe system of Work’. And to appreciate when that requirement becomes essential
